SUMMARY:Ticket to Ryde - August Bank Holiday
DESCRIPTION:Situated along the seafront just a stone’s throw from Ryde’s golden sand beaches\, this free-to-attend event has become a Bank Holiday highlight! It provides a rich mix of bank holiday entertainment for both Island residents as well as an attraction for visitors to the Island’s shores. \nOur annual community event Ticket To Ryde has been running for 12 years and is so popular with the Island community that\, working with our friends at Ryde Town Council\, we’re delighted to say in 2026 it will be returning over the Late May (Spring) Bank Holiday weekend and August Bank Holiday weekend!  \nA superb platform for local musicians to showcase their talent\nEstablished bands and fresh new upcoming local talent will be performing live throughout the weekend. \nHeld during the annual International Scooter Rally\, the final edition of Ticket to Ryde this year provides the ideal opportunity to be entertained by the very best Island bands and features a massive 60s playlist for scooter fans. \nOver the August Bank Holiday weekend\, feel-good live music will be provided by Scooted & Booted Sound System – Reggae\, Ska and 2 Tone Specialist\, Emellia\, Side Hustle\, Pistol Knights\, Rehab Ramones\, It’s Not a Phase\, Mom!\, Showgirl 2.0 & Olly Williams\, Steve Love’s Island Songs and more. \n \nSTAGE TIMES\nSATURDAY 29th AUGUST \nSteve Love’s Island Songs                 11:30 – 12:30\nPistol Knights                                       13:00 – 14:00\nScooted & Booted                              14:30 – 16:00\nIt’s Not a Phase\, Mom!                       16:30 – 17:30\nShowgirl 2.0 & Olly Williams             18:00 – 19:00 \n  \nSUNDAY 30th AUGUST \nEmellia                                                   11:o0 – 12:o0\nScooted & Booted                               12:30 – 15:30\nSide Hustle                                           16:00 – 17:00\nRehab Ramones                                  17:30 – 18:30 \n\nAll timings are approximate & are subject to change \n  \n\n			\n				\n			\n		\n\nCharity fundraising & awareness building \nTicket to Ryde is staged for the community to support Island charities and traders. This year\, Alzheimer Cafe Isle of Wight is our nominated charity. Their cafés offer a friendly and welcoming environment for anyone affected by memory loss or dementia\, including individuals before and after receiving a diagnosis\, families\, carers\, and healthcare professionals. \nParklands Dementia Resource Centre in Cowes provides a place where information can be found and shared\, a space for living and laughing\, and somewhere everyone will feel safe and find respite for a while\, 5 days a week. \nBoth Parklands Community Café and all Alzheimer cafés offer a friendly and welcoming environment where people can chat\, share stories\, make friends\, and relax knowing everyone there is ‘in the same boat.’ \n  \nHand-picked Island stalls & delicious freshly-cooked food\nThere will be a real ale bar courtesy of Island Ales\, hot food freshly cooked by Island caterers\, including mouth-watering loaded fries\, delicious burgers\, fish & chips\, Italian pizza\, and mac ’n’ cheese\, all made using locally sourced ingredients. There will also be delicious locally-produced crepes\, candy floss\, and artisan cakes and bakes. Not forgetting quality teas\, coffees\, hot chocolates\, all served with a smile! \nYou can also browse a range of traditional market stalls. Peruse a vast selection of Anime-based novelty items\, laser art\, or indulge in a beautifully sculpted henna tattoo.
