Ticket to Ryde – Early May Bank Holiday
April 29, 2023 @ 10:00 am - April 30, 2023 @ 8:00 pm
FreeSituated along the seafront just a stone’s throw from Ryde’s golden sand beaches, this free-to-attend event has become a Bank Holiday highlight! It provides a rich mix of bank holiday entertainment for both Island residents as well as an attraction for visitors to the Island’s shores.
Our annual community event Ticket To Ryde has been running for 8 years and has become so popular with the Island community that working with our friends at Ryde Town Council, we’re delighted to say it will once again be returning on each of the Bank Holiday weekends (excluding the Coronation) throughout Spring and Summer 2023!
A superb platform for local musicians to showcase their talent
An original 1979 American Airstream stage originating from Santa Fe Springs in California provides the centre-piece to the Bank Holiday festivities. Rising up on hydraulics, this shiny silver-bullet stage supplied by our sister company, Retro Staycations, is a spectacle in its own right! Established bands and fresh new upcoming local talent will be performing live throughout the duration of the weekend.
Over the Early May Bank Holiday weekend, feel-good live music will be provided by Queenie the Soul Queen, Greg Barnes Music, Bethan John, Emellia, Fusion Party Band, High School Never Ends, Stewart Woodward, Charlene Duncan, Diva-Licious, Trio Latino and many more. Stage times will be released in the lead-up to the event.
Any local acts who wish to perform may get in touch with us here. If we can possibly squeeze you into our existing running order, we will!

Charity fundraising & awareness building
Ticket to Ryde is staged for the community to support Island charities and traders. This year our Charity of the Year is the MS Society Isle of Wight. Volunteers will have a presence at each event and as well as fundraising, are keen to advise how their various support schemes can help enhance the lives of those living with Multiple Sclerosis here on the Island, along with the many carers, family and wider networks of people who are touched by this condition.
Hand-picked Island stalls & delicious freshly-cooked food
There will be a real ale bar courtesy of Island Ales, hot food freshly cooked by Island caterers including mouth-watering loaded fries, burgers and jacket potatoes, all made using locally sourced ingredients. There will also be delicious locally-produced shortbread, cheesecakes and churros. Not forgetting artisanal coffees (both hot + iced) and speciality teas, all served with a smile!
You can also browse a range of traditional market stalls. Why not pose for a hand-drawn caricature, have your tarot cards read or indulge in a beautifully sculpted henna tattoo? A range of children’s activities, including sand bottle-filling, hair braiding and face painting will keep the little ones happy whilst the adults relax and enjoy the music.
Organised by Jack Up Events in conjunction with Ryde Town Council to enable residents to engage with culture at no cost on their doorstep, Ticket to Ryde is an established event now in its 9th year and is a firm favourite in the Island’s calendar.
With a lovely atmosphere and laid back family-friendly vibe, it’s the perfect way to enjoy a lazy bank holiday weekend!
