Ticket to Ryde – Late May Bank Holiday

May 23 @ 10:00 am - May 24 @ 7:00 pm

Free
Ticket to Ryde

Situated along the seafront just a stone’s throw from Ryde’s golden sand beaches, this free-to-attend event has become a Bank Holiday highlight! It provides a rich mix of bank holiday entertainment for both Island residents as well as an attraction for visitors to the Island’s shores.

Our annual community event Ticket To Ryde has been running for 12 years and is so popular with the Island community that, working with our friends at Ryde Town Council, we’re delighted to say in 2026 it will once again be returning over the Late May (Spring) Bank Holiday weekend and August Bank Holiday weekend! ☀️

A superb platform for local musicians to showcase their talent

The very best Island bands and solo singers, plus fresh upcoming local talent, will be appearing live throughout the weekend.

Performing over the Late May Bank Holiday weekend are Taboo, Wight Hot Pipes, Greg Barnes Music, Emellia, Amy Jolliffe Music, Pistol Knights, Side Hustle, Double Take, It’s Not A Phase, Mom – The Pop Punk Experience, Steve Love’s Island Songs & more — all on your doorstep and completely free to enjoy!

Charity fundraising & awareness building

Ticket to Ryde is staged for the community to support Island charities and traders. This year, Alzheimer Cafe Isle of Wight is our nominated charity. Their cafés offer a friendly and welcoming environment for anyone affected by memory loss or dementia, including individuals before and after receiving a diagnosis, families, carers, and healthcare professionals.

Parklands Dementia Resource Centre in Cowes provides a place where information can be found and shared, a space for living and laughing, and somewhere everyone will feel safe and find respite for a while, 5 days a week.

Both Parklands Community Café and all Alzheimer cafés offer a friendly and welcoming environment where people can chat, share stories, make friends, and relax knowing everyone there is ‘in the same boat.’

Hand-picked Island stalls & delicious freshly-cooked food

There will be a real ale bar courtesy of Island Ales, hot food freshly cooked by Island caterers, including loaded fries, burgers, Whitby Scampi, Italian pizza & mac ‘n’ cheese — all made with locally sourced ingredients — plus hot drinks, cakes & bakes, crepes & candy floss, all served with a smile!

You can also browse a range of traditional market stalls. Why not pose for a hand-drawn caricature, browse a vast selection of Anime-based novelty items, visit the dog bakery or indulge in a beautifully sculpted henna tattoo? A range of children’s activities, including the chance to make their own badge, keyrings, fridge magnets and stickers, will keep the little ones happy whilst the adults relax and enjoy the music.

Organised by Jack Up Events in conjunction with Ryde Town Council to enable residents to engage with culture at no cost on their doorstep, Ticket to Ryde is a firm favourite in the Island’s calendar.

With a lovely atmosphere and laid-back, family-friendly vibe, it’s the perfect way to enjoy a lazy bank holiday weekend!
